About

I am currently in the Midwest, but soon moving to Orange County to begin work on my Ph.D.  I study social movements and non-state democratic institutions, particularly in Mexico and the rest of Latin America.  I come from an academic backround in autonomous Marxism, post-modernism, and post-structuralism.  However, I have come to be an anarchist of multiple shades through my field work: I like to think my research shapes my personal ideology, rather than the other way around.

My activism background is mainly in the labor movement, but also international solidarity (Oaxaca especially), and I’m currently looking forward to the Twin Cities RNC protests in September.  It’ll be bigger than Seattle, what more can I say?

Here, I try to share my random writings and photoshoppings, and once I’m in the 7th circle of hell, I’ll be giving my perspective of life there.
